im designing a map and instead of using the same old textures i wanted to use some better looking ones that arent seen everyday but mainly i need models. the main one i need is a model of a horse, is there any available?
also im having some water issues. no matter what i try i cant get my water to stop 'glowing' in the dark. any ideas?

no matter what the water will glow, making it translucent would make it better, but it will still glow.
there are some horse models in ur dod/models/mapmodels folder

set the water to a render fx of about 100, but it will take alot longer to render, try a small patch of water first.
To reduce glowing water you can also just build a brush and not make it an entity. If it is titled right it will still flow like water and you can swim in it but it won't glow as much. Also, you can make a water texture REALLY dark so when it glows it comes out looking normal. Just a few thoughts and solutions I've used. I'm big into night maps and water just fits so well into night maps.

make a dark texture, you could even use the "black" texture, and rename it as !black ( ! makes it water), cover the texture onto a brush u want as water.
do u know how to use wally/ make textures?
Here's a link to Wally. There are some tutorials on the site as well. It takes a bit of learning, but in the long run it will pay off.
