haha I love your tutorials, I worked on my first model yesterday, well yeah its an MP40. After that, I worked on an MG42 (was a spare model someone made for me, but wasn't complete) And I finished it (bipod, barrel, sights, ammo)
MP40: 2300 polies
MG42: 2700 polies
MP40 (planetunreal.com/ptv/SpecMP40optomized.jpg)
MG42 (planetunreal.com/ptv/MG42.JPG)

I didn't smooth the MG42 yet though

select it, and click the smooth button on the modifiers tab, and click autosmooth, u can turn the number up if its too low

My only problem is:

This gives a bad impression of what polycounts models should be
You should have used the actual numerical tools for scaling

Other than that, it's a nice little tutorial.
