Hey everyone. I started this project a long time ago for my HL mod Shores of Victory, however, we decided to use a different model. Now I am able to release this to the DoD community. I already have it meshed, however it is not skinned yet. I will make a skin for it ASAP.

And, incase u are wondering what im capable of, skinning wise, here is a pic of twoprevious works of mine. Also, check out www.shoresofvictory.com and www.bgmod.com to see some of my other work.

Looks good, I know plenty of DOD forum members who want a good garand w/ bayonet.

I'm personally content with Trigger's Garand, but I'll see how this one turns out. :) That BAR looks really nice.

Hey those are nice I might use them depending on how good the skin is and Sclass are you saying that Trigger's garand is the ugliest model ever? Insane. :)

Then i'd advise you to shut your pie hole until you do something better. Trigger is a talented modeler. I and alot of others enjoy his models. Also, that guy is right.. nothings EVER good enough for you.

ok guys, i've really had enough of this crap. I'm sorry to sound kinda crabby, but, SERIOUSLY!! WTF?? I created this thread so i could see how much interest would be expressed toward my model from these great forums, and, reading through this thread, it's nothing bit a crap (since i can't use the dredded "S" word) fight between u guys. Cut it out, please.

And, thankyou to you guys who did, and tried to get everyone else to stay on topic.

As to releasing the mesh, i will after i have mine skinned. I have some work i need to do for BG and SoV (and now possible ToD), so, i don't want to get too far behind in skinning my own model. Sorry mates. I will release the meshes either after i am finished, or after i have a lrge portion of my own skin completed.

Now, pertaining to the BAR and Colt skins, i cannot release here. I made them only for SoV, so, to use them, u'll have to wait till SoV is released (hopefully soon).

heh... i just said to my self "i bet fu is going to be pissed when he gets back" :(

BTW, for those of u wondering what program i used, i used milkshape 100% for the modelling. All completely modelled 1 vertex ata time. So, for those of u that think milkshape is a POS.....

That's a fine looking Garand you've got there. I've never been crazy about modeling weapons, I just released my garand because people kept bugging me to make one. I for one don't care how many garands are made or who uses what, it's just about getting something you like in game.

Personaly i hate bayonet garands id suggest you take 1 step father and make a new icon to replace the buttstroke with it too

and yes the formentioned garand was ugly as hell looked like a k98 with a new skin over it as someone who owns a garand it sickened me :) the garand is a hefty heavy beefy rifle keep skins of it looking that way :) these skins though they have a bayonet look very nice man

When you post something on these forums, you are asking people to say things about it, good or bad, you need to learn to take the distasteful things aswell, because you can't always go complain to someone when you don't like what they have to say, be it a legit complaint or not. I agree there needs to be rules on what people can and can't say, but if someone says you're model, "Sucks," take pride in your work and shrug it off. Trust me, some people have said some really awful things about the models I have made before... Oh, and just because someone can't model, doesn't mean they can't say anything negative about your work. It's hypocritical that people go, "GJ MAN!" and no one says anything like, "You don't model, you can't say good job." If people who didn't actually model or skin themselves couldn't say anything these forums would be screwed into twenty people.

This is not a flame, rather something I've noticed in a long time here. The model looks good, I already expressed my feelings about the left side of the reciever.

Nice model, and your wood is top notch! It looks like it's gonna be one of those models that will be used for a while like Nomad's. *shifty eyes*

And I agree with "Hallock", all he was commenting on was his disliking of Triggers' model and then he gets flamed by everyone that comes into the topic. I didn't use triggers' model for long, because when I dled it there weren't any terribly good skins for it, they all looked a little washed out or something, and I really wanted to fiddle with the origins, so it wasn't really the model. I really didn't like sclass either, but he is young, and he'll learn from his mistakes, I hope.

I guess he didn't have to use the word "sucks", but as I said, he was just showing his opinion.
