I have an IAI M-888 M1 Carbine, if i post really detailed pictures would someone model it? or make a skin of it and transfer it to the default carbine?

I was wondering about those Israeli ones, how do they shoot anyway? Not to make this a gun forum or anything, just wondering.

What's the difference between this one and the one we see in DoD?

I'm assuming it has a bayonet lug too? These are similar to the ones used in the Korean war which had a flip sight and a bayonet lug unlike the M1 carbine of ww2 which had no bayonet lug and a fixed rear sight. Did you buy that wooden cover for the top front part? All the IAI carbines I've seen online have a metal thing there but you can buy the wooden cover.

well , the rear sight on his carbine appears to be a Type 2 , WW2 era is Type 1 , he's got a Type 2 or 3 barrel band , WW2 era carbines had a type 1 which is thin , or a type 2 which is wide. Type 3's came at the tail end. Four rivet handguard , most ww2 eras are two rivets , bunch of other differences.

I've had four carbines , fun rifles. three of mine have been USGI , the fourth was Thai issue (Vietnam used).
only have two now , both 1943 dated. Rebuilt , as typical.

So can I play too?
Ahem , thanks Ls3 for hosting the images.

the IAI carbines shoot great.. i've put about 600 rounds through it and it hasn't had a problem yet

the furthest i've shot it has been 200 meters and it was driving tacs.

someone should model it
