Hi there, first of all I'm sorry I have to make an update but it was really nescasary(i'm sorry for bad english) and I haven't given it a new name. I hope there won't be too much confusing and all.
well, what I've done:
-fixed null texture showing
-fixed black models
-fixed texture alignment
-fixed car that was flying in the air
-added overview thanks to skdr
-modified some buildings to replace the black models
-fixed al other bugs
here are the screenshots: (these are still the ones from the previous thread because they aren't changed, all bugs I've fixed aren't viewable on those screenshots)

You did a nice job with creating a nice snowy atmosphere.

You should have renamed the updated map to dod_edge2.
That way, it means players know what version of a map a server is running.

great work mate. yesterday on our "Custom Map Party" all ppl say that this is a great work and also that we have to put the map into mapcycle. So it is done :D

why do I have to call it dod_edge2 when I just fixed some bugs, maybe if I do a remake of it I can call it dod_edge2, same thing happened to dod_flugplatz and dod_hill_classic. Btw, this version is a better one then the previous one and I don't think many servers are running it ;)

It can just get confusing for players who don't know about the update when they try to connect to a server just to get told their BSP don't match the server.
btw ... I really like this sort of map, great job on using standard dod v1.0 textures and the lighting is very cool.

They are used for cover and otherwise the spawn looks really empty :/

Boxes are a nice, fps friendly, spawn filler. I have a steady 20fps 95% of the time in DoD, but smoke grenades kill me, imagine someone with those expensive video cards, those get 7-15fps.

you can turn it off with particle fx ;) cl_particlefx 0 and you wont see a thing :)
no no no to turn off the map particle fx use
cl_particlefx 1
that keeps the texture FX but hides rain+snow+particle shooters

Nice map man. I am keeping both copies. Allways nice to have all the stuff released by somebody. For historical accuracy.

I don't think this is historical correct because of the british, the skybox(mountains here in belgium?? :)) and a couple more things, tanks in town when the attack has yet to come :)

Mapnames list is beta 1.0 - 3.1 only. But since we will be getting DoD2 in October and I am trying to collect all maps ever released I allways want all releases made by the mapper.
I have renamed your map to dod_edge_b2 in my folder for that purpose :)

I think the lamps are a bit excessive...maybe one on each outside corner..but to have one at every angle is kinda tacky. And those lamp models just look strange with a glow to them, they're dark but just wouldn't really look like that.
