They are ok, but having them as low poly as that is just too extreme. I was kinda thinking CS 1.5 models...

07-07-2003, 10:46 AM
can u make a axis set?

strange i'm vaguely reminded of lawnmower man.

no matter. its a good idea for those who have aging systems. no reason why it can't be done.

eh. i'd be interested in seeing the para helmets =D

i just learnt to compile lol... i was sitting for 3 hours thought i did it all wrong... i had the decompiled folder on D: drive, i think i compiled about 20 times and i couldnt finde the fekking .mdl file, i got mad and decided to quit and let the pro:s take care of what i didnt understand.. i opened C: drive to check some other things and to my suprise there were .mdl files *yiippiiieeee*
(me retarded lol).
anyway can some of you talented modellers and skinners give some url:s to some good tutorials in modelling? i should try to add maybe a backpack or something to a model, just for fun and learn more.
i got 3dsmax4 and 5 i also have milkshape, so plz dont flame the retarded swede i thought this was fun so maybe in a year or 2 i can release something :D

/ Cheers from sweden

hey man thanks for the models but heres a few problems, theirs no feet, no boots, they sorta float lol

the upper body is seprate from the lower body, could you merge the lower and upper body, it will look more natural when animaitons run

the head as a square is a bit odd, MAYBE you could add a tiny bit more polies to make it less boxy

i know im asking too much but..some things do need to be fixed lol

and the textures for the axis and ally para arent as good as the us and axis infantry alignment wise

EDIT: i will try to attempt this myself in MS3D

ill post progress, i just dont know how to compile or assign vertices lol

bye

Dude, if you want good models, don't download low-poly models. I can't believe you're complaining about something that's meant to increase competitive ability, rather than aesthetic pleasures. The models O-W-N, and the guy that made them has made us very happy forum goers.

If your framerate is that low to begin with, you've got bigger problems than a few too many polys.

it lust looks too boxy..... if your trying to make low poly models, you should atleast make it all fit together... lol jk! thats funney, btw, how many polys is it??

TheNomad
07-24-2003, 10:35 AM
the lower the poly the better it is, it obviosly isnt supposed to look good, i would like it with just onw box lol.
