Applying camouflauge to a texture(Help)
I'm aware of the layer functions and the overlay mode. But I'm thinking - Is it possible too create camouflauge yourself? Like with the sponge tool?
Also, is there a place where I can find camouflauge patterns?

heh... that camo plugin is the one I use too.. I do camo patterns slightly differently though... I don't use overlay or layers with opacity changes...
I merely generate the desired camo pattern and copy it to my work as a new layer in the same shape as the item to be camoflaged... use the magic wand (with contiguous off) and choose the part of the camo pattern to work with... make the camo layer invisible so the selection now sits on the actual texture... then use the "Adjust" ... "Hue" ... "Colorize" to get the color to match perfectly...
<shrug> It may not be the easy way, but I never said I was an expert at Photoshop.. lol
...
To create the pattern from scratch, make a new layer, filter --> render --> clouds, then filter --> noise --> noise (play with the settings until u get a fairly good amount of noise). Then filter --> something --> crystalize. Then you can color it and/or add smaller patterns here and there etc.
