Hello, map-makers. Just posting a request for anyone who may have the time and talent to create a "Hogan's Alley" shooting range map. If you're not familiar with this term, it is a type of practice shooting range that's used in real life by law enforcement and military groups, that usually consists of a street that the shooter moves down, with buildings on either side. Silhouette targets will pop-up or move across the scene in a variety of places (windows, doorways, behind cars, etc.). Frequently there is a mix of "good guy and bad guy" targets to teach that you shouldn't always just shoot at anything that moves. ;) I recall that Rainbow Six had one of these as a training map, btw.

Some people will say "just go practice on a real map" or "load up a real map with Sturmbots instead," but this type of map lets you practice in a different way. First of all, other players and Sturmbots usually shoot back. :) Plus, you can have competitions with other players on a Hogan's Alley map, and it gives you a chance to practice accuracy and use of a variety of weapons and techniques.

Thanks in advance for your consideration!

There used to be a map like you're talking about, para_range or something, it was a shooting range with various distances, you hit a switch and targets randomly popped up in different places, not quite what you're talking about but close enough...

Sounds just like the training levels for Half Life and Opposing Force. Whats the point?

You already (presumably) play DOD. These things are only for the worst/ total total total n00b players.
