Are you using NULL brushes?

Put a NULL brush on all non-visible brushes, this will reduce r_speeds significantly (but you need to be using Zoner's Half Life Tools for the r_speed drop).

i know..

but thank m8 ;)

some places are high.. 3 places (860+)..

but normaal max Wpoly is 460 - 560

I've just looked at the pictures- not bad!

The only problem is that roofs look: Too thick; Don't go over the edge of the buildings far enough; Too Slopey; Need some adjusting on the edges at the bottom of the roof using the vertex tool.

Look at the attached file to see how you should change the roof brush.

Also your texturing on some of the buildings is.... hmm too symmetrical, on the side of a building, its very rare to have a window. Also, the window seem very large, fix this by altering either the texture, or by scaling it down (I don't reccommend scaling down, since your r_speeds are so high).

Looking very nice man :D

Only thing I will comment on is that around what I assume to be the trenchs you have angled wood, maybe you should make that into a dirt texture and as it would suit more, seeing I don't think there was wood sloped up to the trench top that often or at all?

Other then that looks dam nice :D

can you put a NULL texture on the un-seen side of a visible brush, or can they only go on un-seen brushes.

map looks pretty good.

You put NULL textures on un-seen sides of visible brushes. E.g. on a really high wall (which you could only see one face in game), you would have NULL on the top, back, bottom and side faces.

Also, on crates, always make sure that the bottom face uses a NULL texture.

Waldo wrote some really good stuff on NULL brushes... I can't remember where though!

Really sweet looking Textures, but I don't know them. Where you get them from? Or did you make them yourself?

Map looks nice what I can see in those pics. Keep at it.

Looks good, you dont have to put null on all unseen sides, just the ones that the player could get to if one had 1 gravity ;). Also I think the roofs are fine. here's a pic of a house with a roof like that. http://german-deutsch.com/photographs/medival_singer_Rothenburg2.jpg

Keep it up!

Go to http://www.planethalflife.com/wadfather/index-new.htm for good skyboxes.

Make the water less of a toxic blue... remember, water should be the same colour as the sky above (unless its stagnant, and therefore green. But I also remember seeing a picture in geography of some river in south america which was toxic blue due to minerals or something).

But otherwise its looking really good!

Looks really good. Can't wait to give it a try. From the pictures the map looks really well designed as far as gameplay. Looking forward to finding out for sure.

Good job.

are you sure you are using a right pitch for the environment light? doesnt look ok...
and the blue water, you should definetively get rid of it... water is only blue in caribbean seas :D , rainwater like that just looks like whats below it, muddy or something like that
But other than the sky and water, map looks great :)
