Ok, this is a tutorial written by me, to see if anyone can understand my poorly written sentences, and to help some Newbs who somehow got Max. (Not mentioning any names)
Ok first heres the Reference I used in the Background, (you dont HAVE to use this one, but this is the one I used in the Tutorial...

Im pretty sure you can use referance pics in the background in milkshape too.
It would be better if this was text tutorial instead of pics, but very nice job anyway!

You can use reference pics in the background for milkshape, Thats how i made the brit cheverons on my 2nd army pack.

Looks good marksman ... although the only beef I have is with using booleans. I would have used the FFD modifier and confined the simple gizmo to the section you were booleaning. Then move the control points back so that you had the same effect. Another way would be to used the stretch modifier and again move the gizmo to affect a certain area.

Finally got 3DS Max and I've gotta say this is a first class tut mate, bloody great work.
Please, please make other tuts for mabye things like rifles/pistols/nades etc

I used 3dsmax6 tho. getting used to the shuffled about controls was a minor irritation, to be honest.

omg omg omg!! this looks like an excellent tut..since ima noob with max, but how do i get the "Tab Panel" ..i am using 3Ds Max 8, is there a differnt version i should use? because i cant find that on there....
