Screen shots and info (http://members.shaw.ca/dvdgillen/project/C47/C-47.html)
Direct Download (http://members.shaw.ca/dvdgillen/project/C47/AB_C47_pack.zip)

Stats:
Faces- 1554
Vertecies- 819
Textures- Three 512x384 8bit .bmp

Features:
3 animations- Idle, Standing, Flying.
3 skins- Normal sub:0, Desert sub:1, Snow sub:2.

This is scaled to 1:1 size, and textured as historically acurate as I could find info on. I also included clip brushes bu they are a bit detailed so its bets to work em down, which is a damn sight easier than working them up. The nose art is a personal touch, it reads "Dors to heaven" with Diana Dors sat on a cloud next to it. I'm working on a destroyed version after this, but it shouldnt take that long after I've tided up some other projects. This isnt the final version, it will be released wiht the destroyed one, but its pretty much 99.9% there.

E-mail all problems to be at Very_Angry_Beaver@hotmail.com

P.S.
I know map models are supposed to go in MSA but I posted it in here cause I included clip brushes. plz dont move my post.

Looks really awsome, been waiting for this for a long time. The only that I dont like is how long the wings are. I wouldnt be suprised if those were the actuall length, but they just look too long(EDIT:yeah, im looking at a pic, and they are almost that long). Also the rudder looks to rectengular and long... Great work, especially with all those skins.

AND THANKS THANKS THANKS for putting this in the mapping section.

I took an overveiw from NASA's ink diagram for the C-47. I mainly think its the shot angles which make the wings look to long though. TY for the compliments

I said they were scaled 1:1 I thought that was clear enough to say it was player size. meh.

Looks great. Does anyone know what happened to the two maps that were being made for 3.1 where you could actually jump out of a C-47, and you could see flak exploding all around you? I was really looking forward to those maps. One was called dod_dakota, I think.

There was a guy who made a map that you would parachute out of a C-47, but no one played it. I think it was in the old forums.

Good job :)

But, hmm, don't have idea of map where C-47 could be used. Maybe you could do do some Ju-52 or He111 now ? :p

The map was called dod_exham_b1/b2

The model is really sweet, allthough I wonder if the tailrudder was really that big. Was it ?

(NOTE ON FALLOWING LINK: I just put C-47 in google search, and there is a nude pick on the first page for some reason(i have safe search off for reasons other than what your probably thinking...) just wanted to warn..)

AngryBeaver I have made a much more simple clip since I had a few errors when I tried using yours and changed some angles. It uses 10 or so solids with minimal faces. I could release it if anyone needs it.

Yeah, if you read the .txt I advised people simplify the clip brushes, but if someone wanted high quality clips there a hell of a lot more work than just DL'ing mine. trust me I know!
