what do you mean no sorry.

you make a brush cover it in the mentioned texture tunr it into a func_water give ti display properties. line up textures hey presto a falling water effect. all said in that post.

NC17 managed to do this with a particle_shooter. Might be interesting for those who want to disable it with cl_particlefx 1.

yes we made the forest and vicenza waterfalls the same way...scrollfall1_mas (and etc) type textures (thank you, Masako), particle effects for steam.

de_volare, a great counterstrike custom map, used the same method except it had sprites for steam isntead of particle shooters. check out that map as well. the whole river is done basically the same way.
