They are reaching their brandwidth limit and are in need of paypal donations...... just check out their website, and read there main. There is a post by "host" which gives you all the details on how.
http://dodec.dodstudios.net/main.html
They will then take you to their first site, http://www.dodstudios.net/
and there you can find the way to donate on the left side.
P.S. You don't have to reply to this thread I will just keep bumping it....

Personally, I think this should get a sticky. The editing center is amazing with all the files they provide. I'd hate to see this place go under :(

Maybe they should delete all uploaded pictures. I guess 90% of all pictures arenīt used anyway.
Yes guys its true, we have used a very large amount of bandwidth, and need to raise exactly 100 dollars by the end of the month to cover the extra cost. I have been informed by DoD Studios that we are going to be moving to a new server soon with much more bandwidth, so that means that there will be less trouble in the months to come. Thanks for your support, and thanks a ton to all those who donate, we really need the help.

As I see it, DoD Studios has helped out this community immensely. We ought to try to return the favor as best we can. I haven't asked permission yet, but I'll sticky this anyway.
Delete all that crap/pr0n/everything in the upload folder. Then look at the bandwidth usage again...
its not the image hosting that did the damage its the Editing Center with all the downloads which is causing this problem.
Sad news, I'd donate if I had money and if they didn't fiercly bash Editor321's site because he uses FilePlanet as a Host.
DoD studios needs money.
No they don't. Last I checked, if you start hosting files for free, you'll keep doing it, or stop. It isn't a money making scheme for gods sakes, I wish people had the common decency to understand that! Stop begging people for $.

**btw, I seen you guys said you were moving to another server??
Have you checked out http://www.hostdime.com? They are preety cheap and lots of bandwith (depending on what you use per month;) )

Hi everyone,

I take some time and clarify a few things said already in this thread

I somewhat agree see the wording at the beginning of this post. We are not in dire need of money but rather are seeking donations. DoD Studios from the start has all been about giving to the community. It has allowed for huge growth and our hosted site dodec to grow immensly. But you do not have to be so rude as to say we are begging people.
If you decide to donate I sincerely appreciate your contribution and it will not go unnoted. If not that is your choice.

The link is dead so i do not know what you are talking about. I am the sole owner of DoD Studios. All donations would go to me. If there is an issue please email me and i'd love to resolve it asap.
You guys keep mentioning the image uploader. This post was brought about because i have politely asked dodec to pay me $100 this month since they have used up a huge amount of bandwidth. I know that they recieve free hosting, but the dodec has used up over 200 gigs this month. I hate doing it but it has pushed us way over our monthly allowance. This is the very first time i have ever asked someone for money for this site and I am not punishing dodec for growing so greatly (keep it up). We have obviously outgrown our current hosting situation and I have a new server lined up for the next month.

I am unaware of this current situation if you could please inform me about this or whatever it was that happened i would appreciate it. For I do not like how there is some form of resentment towards DoD Studios...especially when it is something I had nothing to do with and am unaware of.
I'm not sure whatelse to add here. Again I must urge with the upmost of my abilities that we are NOT demanding money, it is just a polite invitation to donate.
I will be monitoring this thread for other questions or whatnot.

While DoD Studios hosts certain sites, a spat between a hosted site and another party shouldn't be looked as we were involved, DoD Studios that is.
As long as it is resolved and everything is fine....water under the bridge.

I would love to donate if I had the money but I'm only 16 and I live sooo far..Those who can donate please do. I wish DoD studios and the DoD editing center good luck for the money they need. I wouldn't want to see everybody's favorite custom stuff site gone :)

Do you accept money orders? If so, PM me the mailing addy.
Don't say "visit the site" because it appears to be down.
Can u accept a Visa/Mastercard donation?.
I havent signed up to Pay-Pal, and as I'm in the UK, donating via Visa would seem an easier option.
If it is a viable method of donating, I'll do it right now.
DoDStudios has helped the DoD community in general by a huge amount, and long may they continue to do so.
If anyone wants to donate to the DoD Editing Center (http://dodec.hlgaming.com), I have put a donation link on the site.
