Hey guys,

Just gonna get into mapping, got into it about a year ago but I haven't touched it since then...and when I was into it, I really didn't get very far :D

Wondering if this is possible. Everytime a player model runs, is it possible to kick up dust while they run with each foot step? Like every time you shoot into a sandbag, you see a puff of sand. So picture that but when they run.

On certain parts of a map, I'd like to have dust kick up. Just trying to think of idea's to make a better atmosphere.

Again, not sure if this is possible, but any help would be appreciated.

it's not possible because it isn't coded into dod or the engine won't allow it, dunno, but it isn't possible :/

its nots feasible, but if you want to put a trigger_multiple every 2 feet and have it trigger a sprite then you can.

tl;dr answer: No

What is it when a bullet hit's a sandbag and gives off the puff, or shotting into a wall creates a puff of dust I believe. Are those sprites? So there's no way to move those sprites to somebody's feet when they're running.

Again, I don't know much about mapping, but if it could render that sprite on a sandbag, or a wall...couldn't it render it on the ground as well?

So plain simple answer is: no. you can't don it in your map, unless you make one roo full of small button brushes generating dust. But it would be a bit boring since number of entities is pretty much limited.
Don't bother.
