Sup everybody? The low-res quality Flak88 skin that came with DOD finally got to me, and Im working on making that little 256x256 into 3 yes count them, 3 512x512 skins to make blowing up 88s even more enjoyable. The skins will be basically the same as the stock ones, just resized, cleaned up, and polished up a bit. If I have the time, I'll also add details to the actual model that the Dev Team left off to save polys that will make the gun more realistic and to offer even more eye candy :) Let me know what you all think.

To make things even more fun I've added a camo netting to the high res 88 as well :) I'll probably release 4 different versions of the 88. One desert tan, one desert tan w/netting, one military green, and one military green w/netting. Just a few more minor details and release time :)

Nice work!

But needs more wear and tear. It looks like brand new. Also, make your metal texture more apparent. It looks a bit too smooth.

Looking great so far, I'm looking foreward to seeing the final product. One thing nags at me though... what ever happened to the commando set you were working on? Or that American Pilot model?

:o WOW, sweet ass 88 bro :) How about adding a sheild onto it aswell? not all 88's looked the way they have em in Dod. Also have you considered a version of it pointing to the sky? That would seem abit more realistic as 88's we're used for anti aircraft defenses aswell :)

Other then that when this puppys released I think I have a few nice little spots for it on my current map :)

Ok here goes my long list of replies......

Dillinger & Stoffer: The skin is being weatherized, texturized and more details are in the making. There will be 2 versions, one desert and one greenish grey.
Trigger: The new system of models that DOD uses has put a damper on my player model editing but I've been messing around with the subgroups to see what I can get done. I've been messing around with the commando weapons but I need an animator and all the animators are busy with other projects so thats been put on hold.
Fuzzdad: There is a destroyed subgroup for both the regular 88 and the camo netted 88 with collapsed netting.
Sly Assassin: I have a shielded 88 already made, just gotta remake the skin shield and get the hit-boxes working on it. This armored version comes aimed low for tanks/personel and high for anti-aircraft.

Updates soon probably tomorrow afternoon. Im aiming for a Friday release but Im moving 2 new roomates into my house so things will be a little crazy around here. As always, please leave comments/criticisms.

That really does need a firing animation, also the high and low sohuld be animations to save space. Animating that shouldn't take that long. If ya can't animate it yourslef you could always ask me. got my own projects but this one is pretty enought the others can wait a bit :D

I've been working ALOT at my job so my modeling/skinning time has been about zip the past month or so work is stuck at about 80% on this. Once I finish up work for the Russian pack I'll see what I can do about finishing this and my other projects.

It's nice to see people working on Map models instead of weapons etc
