[PREV] 12. Volksgrenadier Div ver. 2

Here's a preview pic. I added the chickenwire to the helmet, made the uniform a lot darker and a lot more authentic, and changed the camo pattern to Zeltbahn camo instead of the marsh pattern on the first version. Not quite finished yet, I'll post some ingame pics soon. What do you all think?

Yeah I agree, I have enough problems blasting my own when Im tired lol. Jumpy trigger finger.

Nice looking work but I dont think the helmet fits with the rest though. Maybe just me.

In response to uniform confusion, I came up with this. I tweaked the brightness and contrast and here it is. Good or bad? Which is better?

The textures don't seem to connect very well...

Cath0de, please explain so I can fix it. Thanks.

I took a closer look, and it's not that they're mis-aligned, but that they're kind of blurry. I like real crisp, sharp, defined camoflage.

But, maybe the 'cloth/linen' look is what you want with these

One thing I've noticed with HLMV is that the model is not as sharp as it is in-game. I think that's probably what you're noticing. To me, it's no big deal. But I do agree; sharp camo looks better than blurry stuff.

Both HLMV and HalfLife itself filter textures in strange ways. It's usualy alright to sharpen a texture more than you think looks good because of this.

I like the textures, but I think the first pic you showed looked better. Although I'll admit it'd make it harder to identify friend or foe, I'd prefer to change my allied player models to fit these rather than have an axis set that doesn't look like it should because of ff problems.

I think those are quite nice :) I won't use them if they're released because I prefer feldgrau but these are really good :)

I really like the pants with the mud caked on them.

Any way to put those on GI models?

My 28th Inf Div skins have mud caked on their uniforms too. You can check that out at the DoD Editing Center.
