[MREL] Nomad's M3A1 Greasegun Complete Reskin From Scratch

Finished this thing up and I am very pleased with it. I used my metal texture I created for my Bren reskin, edited it a bit to fit the greasegun, and then reskinned the whole model with it. I didn't like how the original skin on this model was so shiny and new, so I made the new metal texture dull and banged/scraped up. Another thing I added was the grooved area around the barrel. I don't recall ever seeing any skin with that included. I was looking at some reference photos and saw it, since the barrel can be screwed on/off and decided it looked really nice, so I added that too.

I wish this model had custom P and W models, otherwise I would have included them, but sadly, it doesn't. :(

But still, I hope you enjoy this one!

FEATURES:
- A brand new, completely remade metal texture from scratch
- Grooved area where the barrel screws on/off

Original Model, Skin, and Animations: Nomad, Capt. Glimsharp

It sure looks nice, but i have to refrain from getting these high-poly models. I gotta stick to your high-res skins on default models.

I agree 200% :D
And imo, don't put streched FOV look on model weapon you made, it looks too weird :(

Oh, yes, that's very good. More like what I'd expect to see in BoB. Good job.

If you're serious about that statement, I invite you to read all the articles linked to in the last block.

nice work, but would it be possible to match the metal texture on the back cirlce, where it says browning m3a1, to the rest of the weapon??

its backwards in the pic too.. i'd DL but i think i use the grease once in a lifetime so the work would be wasted on me.. nice job anyways.

Um...perhaps you should look at the pic again, because it's not backwards at all :)

Give me some credit, I think I'd have caught that haha. And as for matching it, I matched it the best I could. But if you mean make it match, like not so scratched up on the back, that was a design decision I made based on the reference pictures I looked at. It was common for the M3A1 to be rested and/or sat down on the flat back of the gun, so needless to say, it was scraped up more than the rest of the gun.

Please stick to making skins on default models Dillinger. All this high-poly stuff is something alot of us can't handle...

But for those of us that can, we love it :D :D :D
