December 1944, a small town in belgium

Axis:
On a snowy day, axis forces are travelling through a small town.
They have left some important documents on the other side of the town.
Go back and recover the documents.

Allies:
Upon entering the town, the allies fuel truck has broken down due to the cold.
Go and venture for an engineers kit near the abandoned panzer and bring it back.
Beware, axis forces have been spotted.

Been play-testing this map on an aussie server this avo, and feedback is good. Layout and gameplay is unique. This is just my first beta release, and i do plan to make a few changes.

already, a few things that i want to change is the overview, make it clearer and show where the spawn areas are. also, the fuel_dump.mdl. the camo net on it has red to show where see through holes are. i couldnt get them to become see through. i left it as default, and also had render mode solid, fx amount 255.

any help there would be appreciated.

besides that. its a good beta map. download and try it out. ill note any feedback and then update my map soon.

hehe. i spent much time on teh name. different sources have different spellings. :(

my home dictionary has adrenilin
www.dictionary.com has both adrenaline and adrenalin

when i took teh screenshots, i had the map under adrenilin, and a friend in oz told me i was wrong. i threw out my dictionary, and went with adrenalin over adrenaline, mainly because adrenalin looks better.

errr, first of all, congrats on the map

imho the architecture of the houses is way to simple, you need to variate it more, take a look at the houses in dod_flash or dod_kalt, that are real houses, compare with yours, try to make one like that, now, I'm going to dl the map and give you feedback afterward

i've played it, and i have to say it's fantastic

the architecture is not the best, but it's not at all bland, and it's simple and clean, not cluttered and runs well on nearlly all systems, not including the particle fx.

the gameplay is great, the map is definately not linear, and there are a number of routes to take, but hte map is pretty simple and straight forward which is great.

the map is relatively small, the gameplay is even and balanced, and great fun! takes only about 5 seconds to get into the action, and i have played the map for an hour or two, and have yet to see a stale mate.

don't judge it by it's looks, but it doesn't look bad at all, looks better in game then the screenies show. Everyone download, it's a great map!

255 255 128 120

i experimented with it and thought default colour with a mediumish brightness suits the sky and snow the best.

not many mappers down in aus, but this has just inspired some new mappers and a mapping team to be founded, which is good to hear.

Agrreed. The lighting here is so much more realistic and more modest....unlike dod_kalt, whose lighting is rather cartoony and strong.
