I dont think hobofire may need to be updated, have you actually treid running it?

and as for an update to 1.0 you need to find and pester the author.

I think the mapper of Hobofire was Nipper. He made a couple of other small maps like hobofire that were a lot of fun. HOpefully he hasn't given up on DOD.

didn't look very pretty but it played pretty damn well.

Anybody hear from Nipper in the past few months?

I liked his stuff. I agree, his maps weren't beautiful, but they were ALWAYS fun. It would really be interesting to see someone help him improve the looks of his maps with the gameplay he already had set up.

One of the best playing custom maps i've ever seen. Nipper made great playing maps that weren't that pretty. Unfortunately I haven't seen him around since the 3.0 days.

He also made a great map called dod_tallgrass I believe that was always being played on the Kustom Kettle.

Yeah, He just kinda vanished.... I have him on my AIM buddy list and I haven't seen him in months.

Here's his website: http://nipper.cjb.net/ unfortunately, none of the DoD map downloads work.
