Tutorial Start - finish?

This would be cool if some of you "awesome" mappers could put a tutorial together that would take the new mapper right from start to finish and cover everything so the first time mapper has a good sence of whats going on...I know there are lots of tutorials but most of them are for people that have mapped before and some are hard to follow... For the first time mapper this really helps to folow a step by step tut that when done they have a working map with lights/water/sound/everything- I do know that there is time for the mapper to try to learn all he can and he/she should but with something like this it would be a good thing -
Cheers

Yup, those videos are pure gold for the beginning mapper. Heck, I've been mapping for a while and still learned a thing or two from watching them. (Just watch them in order :) )

there are 2 tutorials on www.dodfi.net , written by Cilppiz.
1) introduction to hammer and the tools http://www.dodfi.net/?sivu=artikkeli&id=8
2) making first map with lights, one destroyed building with door and flag inside + compiling it http://www.dodfi.net/?sivu=artikkeli&id=9

note that those are written in FINNISH, so most of you won't understand anything :( but i don't know, maybe some finnish mapper searches thease forums and finds this useful.
