Readme and junk inside of the .zip file. I'm using my provider's webspace, which I get 3 gigs a month on, please be gentle... Hahaha...

Seriously now, folk. Don't rape my bandwidth. Leave comments and jazz at the door.

OH YEAH, and for chrissakes, loverboys, please read the readme, at the very least read the "Things I'm aware of" part, because I am aware of certain bugs in it, etc. and I don't need to hear them repeated over and over.

ALSO, see, I was going to put these two in the special thanks for testing with me, but it slipped my mind when I wrote the readme, and reuploading 2 megabytes doesn't really sound like boatloads of fun, so I also give thanks to Vash and [-=BB=-]Matchew|e1 for standing there while I shot their faces.

This is the one head test version. I'm simply too busy or lazy or fat etc. to do this for the rest of the heads just now. Plus I wanna release this so no *******s can steal my ideas (You cream puffs).

Hmph, I'm not completely sure, but I THINK there's a slight delay in the headshot standing animation...

I'll fix it when I release a version with all of the heads.

Great work!

I took the liberty of taking a shot at a different headshot texture though. Closed his other eye and some other things. It's attached.

Also, I assume since you managed to do this with just the front of the face texture, you should make it replace the whole head texture, that way the bloody texture doesn't cut off where the guy's side of his face is and instead of the blood texture, shows his clean face. That way, we could have different kinds of headshot textures that show exit wounds, or what have you and it would just look better in general.

Yeah, replacing the whole face itself would be really awesome, but the problem with that is that I'd have to somehow fit an entire head somewhere in the model, and I'd also somehow have to keep it within the bounding box as to keep it from being troublesome in servers and crap like that. The only way I can think of is to cut the face into 4 parts, the front, back, and sides... But that'd be a LOT of work haha.

A lot of work, yes, but I think the payoff would be well worth it.

Marzy and yourself have essentially opened the doorway to being able to have damage textures, which is something I really want.

This wouldn't tend to lend itself well to having talking mouths, but I can see a work-around for that anyway.

You've come up with a wonderful extension of the idea of adding the bones to the smd files. Good work.

How far can it go, now?

As luck would have it, I just heard a reference to that movie (mainly the “Gun-Fu” you see in the clip) just the other day. Of course, no one said the name of the movie, but a quick yahoo search on what I did know makes it clear that it’s from Equilibrium (http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?id=1808404878&d=hv&cf=info). Podunkian, in an effort to try to kinda help you out, I completed another headshot texture for a second face from the models.

I have three of the four faces done, so if you are in need of these skins, just drop me a line.

Check the first post, i've done all of the heads now. I also wanna let everyone know that anyone's free to reskin, rape, touch, fondle, forcefully vertex edit any part of the model for their own enjoyment... In a sentence: Feel free to edit and release your own versions of this model (or even just the concept), but please just include my name somewhere if you'd like, but I'm not gonna force anyone.

Btw, for that movie Equilibrium, the correct term for the martial art they use is Gun-kata, or the martial art of using the gun as a full weapon, positioning the attacker in the optimal position to deal the optimal amount of damage, while staying in the fields of least return fire. That and they have full-auto modified Berettas. Just go watch it. :D

edit: i tried it out ingame, it doesnt seem to work if the victim is crouching, other than that its secksay. you should make big stomach wounds for gutshots. ubersecks.

I've done it. I've almost all of the head skinnable (only exception: The neck). I can't do any model deformations to it though :(. Oh well, it still looks pretty nice, I'll upload an image later.

Once you have got it down, and hopefully have it using more then one face for the set, :) I would like to use these on my 103rd set.

No you can't, but if the dev team wished to they could code it into the game.

The way this works, is by adding an extra bone/bones you can then edit the anims to move a part of a model hidden inside the player model with a different texture on it to cover the original model and texture.

This is very cool. I anticipate a headshot pack for all 5 of the default player models in DoD, as I do like the default skins a lot better than customs right now.

its kind of hard to tell, but most of these ARE missing chunks of the face, look at the one where its completely covered in blood, the face is all caved in and such. word.
