Unfortunatly I posted a smiley infront of the last thread which was considered untasteful since it was to the memory of the d-day, I applogize for this. I simply was so happy and tirred after mapping long hours that I didnt consider the consequences...

The only way for me to remove it was to delete the thread...which is now done.

The ferns make it look like a jungle. Needs different lighting and texture scheme.
But other than that, solid brushwork, looks good.

Yeah like i said, I really like the terrain and atmosphere of the thing. Looks pretty good. And i know what you mean by tired of mapping. I've done the same myself:(

I like the rocks in the second pic, the first one is a little bland, I'm not sure why, but it may be just because its seems like the same old thing. Also I think making it lighter might look better, something to think about.

I wish we could render individual blades of grass, leaves, and whatnot. Brecourt would be so damn cool if we could, hell, imagine a map based on the mountain scene from The Thin Red Line:eek:

You should turn on TEXTURE SHARPENING and ANSIO FILTERING this will make all of your textures not look so washed out

It is not part of the game

Is should be in your video card settings if you have a geforce card then it is under your advanced display properties

The layout has taken shape, now I need to fill the empty spaces and touch it up. There is also the game mechanism... so it might take a while...

I think I can post a preview, probebly tomorrow. I have mapped like 15 hours this weekend, since my fiance is away at her parents...

Thanks NC17 for the tip!

More info about the map will be here shortly

You need my new fort model, I redid the camo netting. Let me know if you need any models skinned whatsoever.
