Im almost done. Its in the tradition of fy_iceworld and i guess para_iceworld2 now. I spent alot of time on this , appreciate comments and critiques.

Wow, i have never seen such detail in a hl map

That is simply amazing i mean a brown AND a grey texture all in one map.. how DO you do it ?

I used the manipulate vertext tool and devised all the vectors 230 degrees , if you really think about it , its just common sense.

Wow dimitry, impressive. I have to tell you, this might be the map that conquers iceworld 2..but i dont know, all 6 brushes in iceworld were buetifull.

I can really see how you calculated the anti-mass spectrometer of the space time continuim with the vertex to put those blocks where they were. Just one complaint... I see 4 textures,the sky(which is a must), the fence, the ground, and the blocks. There should only be 2.

i cant beleive i typed all that for this

Well all of the spectrometer stuff was handled by this handy program i found on the internet. Other than that just hours of hard work.












On a more serious note , i wonder how it would play if i polished it off? I mean if something like iceworld apprently plays good , why couldnt this.

Oh the temptation to release my new box dod_l337box is so great i can ponly just restrain myself....i mean come on how is a hollowed brush with 32 spawns and over 600wpoly not a great map????

It would look the most nice if you compile it without rad...
and don't put so many brushes in it for cover - otherwise your r_speeds get horrible high (about 100000 or smth like this)

^ or just run it with only CSG and BSP...no REAL mapper should rely on VIS and RAD...those are only for lamers.

hey man, awesome work, but what are the r_speeds on that? I mean I'm seriously tired of mappers putting out these maps with like 1000 w_polys and I can't even play them! I love the transparency on that fence though, pretty bad ass all around I must say. d/ling......

The wpolys can not be anything over 400, if they are then this person really has no idea what they are doing

Very funny stuff.

Maybe you could work on another classic CS map...I think it was simply called "box".

It was the bestest box you ever saw! :D

Or maybe the extra super CS classic, awp map!

Jokes aside, what I find odd about these type maps is that they do seem to be popular with a certain type of player. I've witnessed these type maps being extended for heavens sake!

They are obviously not meant to be a "map" by any stretch of the imagination, I just can't understand what the attraction is. ???
