In the first dod threre were a map called overlord, the best beach map I knew. But it got deleted I don´t know when and it got replaced by the beachmap charlie. Someone made a source version of the beachmap charlie named Strand and I wonder if someone can make sourceversion of the map overlord.

NO! It´s not. Charlie is an another beachmap they may look like they are the same but there not. Compare:

I'm sorry, but I don't see much of a difference.

I'm not even sure if that is overlord, I remember the bluff being alot higher, that could be an eariler version then I played but then again time blurs memories.

It would help if we had an overview of the map at least. A .bsp of the original map would be even better.

There's DoD 3.1..it's in there. I looked and I can't find a download link to just the bsp itself.

It's pointless to me though because Dustin Diamond already did what this guy is asking for... Bullseye have you even played dod_strand before you requested this?

The differences are big if you play the map. The bunkers are far more higher, the sandhill there the fences are are lower and not like a big protectionwall.

And there are just Bangalores and TNT as explosives and there were also minefields. And there were no camping in bunkers for allies becuse they got killed if they tried to go in the bunkers.

the front section of dogsector is based mainly on overlord, which was my favourite dod beach map. i mixed it with charlie and my own ideas though, so there's the tunnels and back area of charlie added, plus the tunnel from the artillery casemate on the west end of the beach.
