Its been a while since i mapped for source, in fact, it wasnt long after we had to start using the betasdk thing in the command line... :)

What i would like to know is do i still need to use -betasdk (that correct?), and is there anything else i need to know, been away a while so have no clue as to whats changed in the last year or so....

No you don't need the -betasdk commandline, just open up the SDK through steam and you're away laughing
