hi, i have just finished the beta 1 of this map
its a remake of the original dod_merderet, i have keep the original game play and game style, and i think the result its good.
map have 5 flags (1 man cap)
40 spawn points
origianl ambient sounds

please apologize my stupid question, but why did you call your map rmerderet and not merderet?

Whats with the water? Or therefor lack of?
Texturing looks shocking, repeating textures, also very square...

I understand that this is a beta, but it does look very blocky and the details seem to be at a minimum.
the screens are in low quality because of my grafic card, for the next beta, beta 2 it will be more sourcified, with a more real river, and high texture details.
i will be finished the map with other mappers, like albatros and walker, so the final version would be greatfull.
from now the only you can appreciate is the structure and the gameplay, that i think its well done like in the original map

There's also a floating spade behind the crates at allies second, and the bushes by the window at axis first disappear/ spin around to face you as you move.

Nice to see some work on a merderet version :)
Layout was immediatedly recognizable and the scale was good too
fps ranged from 40 - 90 , mostly around 50fps
The water issue is fairly obvious
- Ally spawn might stand some better cover for the players
- By the ally's second flag, the wall is black
- Disappearing and reapperaring doors and boxes
- You could see behind the grassy wall and under the house
- Flickering roof edge

- water appeared to have black rectangular boxes "falling" through it
at set intervals
On Axis Side
- ladder in sniper house was "blacked" out
- spaces where walls join, between sniper room and flag 4 courtyard
- could see into flames from axis courtyard through space
- foliage stuck through wall and moved as players moves

-sandbags on axis spawn disappeared and reappeared
- you can see under the box and under the map at the axis spawn
-fireplace disappeared and reappeared
thanks, it will be solved in beta2 i missed to activate an option in those props to prevent this happen.

I've been waiting for a remake of this map for some time now. Is the wall in the Allies sniper nest destructible like in the original? Great progress, cant wait until she's done to try her out!

It looks good so far. I was wondering if you might want to try to come up with a different solution for the water area. Right now, just having standing water coming out from under a wall just isn't Source-ey enough. Maybe you want to have a sewer type dealy or something?
