disappearing faces

i've been finishing my opel blitz model ready for release today, and couldn't get the partial opacity of the windows to show up if they were part of the same model as the rest of the truck, so i separated just those polygons and gave them their own vmt, linked to the same vtf. in game though, some of the faces of the window model keep disappearing at certain angles or distances. the model is exported as normal and uses a standard prop_static qc file, and the vmt is normal besides $translucent and $nocull.

here are some screens both from the same place to show what's happening:

Sorry I don't have anything to add to help you out other than I have a couple of uses for this in a current project I am working on.

I'd say don't use $nocull with translucent. It's seriously going to screw with the z-ordering.

Also, make sure you have $mostlyopaque in you're QC so it draws the model in two passes.

I had those lines in the vmt for the rest of the truck, and even though none of the window faces were overlapping any on the Opel model, the transparency ordering must've been what was causing the problem.
