Hey guys, I recently downloaded the skins for the K98 which gives it a Red Dot Sight, and also one for the Garand that gives it a Red Dot Sight.

I love the K98 model/red dot sight and had an idea to just make a copy of the K98 skin files (the vtf and vmt) files, so that I can use the K98 skin aswell as its red dot site and have it function as a garand. I did pull this off however the gun appears to be held too high, and when i go to iron sights its way above where im aiming and I cannot see what I am shooting at. Is there a way to lower the model down so that I can do this? Thanks!

If you are wondering which skin I downloaded its the K98 Aimpoint by DarkElfa. Thanks!

i like it, so other than criticism to the model i chose can anyone offer me some advice on how to reposition it? Keeping in mind I am no 3D modelling expert lol.

Why are you wanting to use the K98 skin as the Garand?

Sooooo.......... why don't you just use the Garand model made by Darkelfa? I'm confused.

because im not fond of the large red dot aiming reticle for long distance shots, i find the k98 one to be much better.

I agree with Guyver. Maybe if you knew how to aim you wouldn't need a red dot on the screen.
