Please post map releases to the proper forum. Thanks!

Nice presentation, etc... hopefully the gameplay is there!

On your website, you spelled "briefing" wrong. Small niggle, I know. :)

No offense, but I'm not going to wait 20 minutes to download the map @150-200kbps. Not at 180+MB.

You might want to look at other hosting alternatives.

Took me about 2 minutes, not 20.

Pretty low fps around large chunks of the map, really needs to be optimised.

Looks ok, not the greatest, not the worst.

I just took a run around this map. I like the overall layout and feel of it. Few areas made me stutter, but that's probably cause of the large amounts of custom resources it uses. Unfortunately, many of the textures used are low resolution and look fairly blurry even on high, but I figure if I got on a high player server, it wouldn't matter that much how textures look.

The map looked nice. Until everyone started shooting at each other, that got very hard to watch

Hey, nice teamwork, are you going to release all the custom models ?
If you installed the map, you got them already.

And this map absolutey bummed my performance in the gob, as I think with 32 players this map would slice my FPS down to a single digit. Ran around with the showbudget on and noticed the Dynamic Lights bar peak at some places. And dynamic lights are the devil in multiplayerlevels! Also, the detail prop bar peaked.

I must say Thank You!! This is the type of map that is needed for DOD:S!! YOU and your bunch of friends have done us well with your map. I clap my hands to you and your mates for a excellent map!! You give all the other mappers something to work for. Yes, their is most likely some spots that might need some work as far as optimisatoin but that is not something to worry about. Also the trailer is not what the map looks like, as far as looks go. It seems like its outdated graphics. I haven't noticed drops in fps but I have a good system. With pesentation being great, your map fails to live up to it. Your models work was great!! Listen to what the people are saying about the map to make it better and you have a for sure winner!! I am now looking to see what is next!! It's getting better people. Just sit back and enjoy it. DOD:S is far from DEAD!!:)

i ran through the map by myself
there is a lot of models, maybe too much (paths are really crammed)
ingame really looked different then the pictures to. was there a lighting/sky change?
and yes, the FPS was really low on my own, so it most likely will be unplayable for most people
too bad you released the map without any name attachment (such as b1 or v1), because now if you release an update to fix the many problems, people will have mismatched map files under the same name.
if i see a server running it, ill jump in and see how it goes

Wow, how long u worked on that mass of custom stuff? !respect!
Some of u models are really great, but also some with bad textures or polycount.
This is one of the best i found :) =

But iam sorry, the map looks not that good, its mostly simple brushwork with bad lighting.

To me, this map is not finalized and should've been, like Neutrino says, named with b1 (beta 1), as the overall performance makes my system crawl to its knees, like 20 fps at places. Now imagine that with 32 player load. Did you use the +showbudget panel at all? Walking around, I can see the dynamic light meter go really high. I suggest you get rid of all those dynamic lights (as you have no moving lights anyways) and replace them with normal static lights and spotlights (I am talking about the point_spotlight entities, they need to go).

Also the screenshots provided gives a false view of how it actually looks like ingame: http://i9.tinypic.com/61umrk6.jpg
Enhanced screenshots are usually frowned upon by most communities.

But all the custom models and textures are a welcomed addition to mappers.

I ran thru the map, hope your team got a good grade on it by the way, and while I liked the layout and feel of the map I only got 10 to 20 frames per second in the map all by myself. I would love to put the map on the [415] server but it would be very laggy and clear out our server.

Installed, the map is 284 megs. The .bsp part of the map is only 19 megs. If I was to .bzip this portion of the map only (like I do for all custom maps that download off of our download url site) it would only shave off only a fraction of the download size and people would most likely leave while trying to download it in game. As nice as the map is, I see it as a lan map only and only if all of the playes have the latest in computer gaming equipment.

Thanks for the map though. I hope your team considers making a map with less custom materials in it to keep the filesize down so we can put them on our servers and play them.
