Yes, I know there is the other one, but I didn't like the general look of them. I consulted my father on these, who was in the British Army and worked with the 1st Airborne and says they are pretty much smack on.

Berets for all classes except for sniper, who has a beanie. The sniper also has the Seargent major kit, as I thought he looked pretty boring with just an ammo pouch and a holster.

Might want to fix your credits...

I did the camo on all the faces...
Plus, that Back-Pack, was done by me as well...

Ah, sorry. Didn't see your name in the other thread. I'll just add you up top.

Beret looks a bit too... red.

Was is really that colour or more maroon-ish?

Not a criticism, it just stands out from the rest of the model.

I like it - gives me somewhere to aim for ;)

I like em', making a 1st CPB as we speak, and they'll soon be added to the DoD Editing Center...

Great skin mate, dropped it and using it .

maRtin mentioned the colour/shade/brightness of the beret and that's the only criticism I can make as well - but it's so minor it's not worth loosing sleep over. Should think it's too difficult to achieve it exactly 'cos of the restraints of the game.

The smock is spot on and I love the Pegasus patch.

Hmmm...

My next version, I'm hacking a bunch of stuff on, I'll keep the Beret in mind ;)

This is the sort of colour I was thinking...

I dunno if this is accurate for ww2 though. Any comments?

I'm just pointing these out for improvement, dont take it too hard.

- Patch is wrong, it was worn on the battledress underneath, not on the smock.

- Dennison is too light, and the pattern is way off. Needs larger patches of color and a more hand painted look.

- Yes, the beret should be maroon and not red.

Thanks for the tips :)

I didn't even bother taking time on the pattern, as it isn't mine :P

But I'll see what I can do

Oh, and btw. Tear into me all you want, you guys are nicer than most :P

On certain mod forums, when I release stuff, the first 6 replies are along the lines of "you blow"

I've seen various shadings of smock thru the years and, true, the patch wasn't worn on the smock itself but, hey, a little artistic licence is fine by me for the benefit of the game. Para Smock (http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/AdamWilliams2/smock.htm)

Anyone know when that picture of the Para Vet with the paras being dropped in the background was taken? I was there on the 50th Anniv of the Arnhem drop - unfortunately the weather was against the guys with quite strong winds, but a small number were dropped and unfortunately some minor injuries were sustained .
