Can anyone tell me why my displacements seem to be lit differently and why you can see the individual displacements.

I have built cubemaps as I thought this may be the problem but it didnt solve it.

Not come across this before so any help would be appreciated.

Have you done a 'fast' Rad compile?

- Are both displacements sawn?
- Are they overlapping?
- Are they using two different lightmap scales?
- Are they using the same power of subdivision?

The picture is the result of a fast vvis compile but full vrad compile.

I havent sewn the dispacements as they have not been displaced I have only used the Paint Alpha to pull the texture through.

The displacements don't overlap of that i'm pretty sure as my brush work is normally very neat :D. All the displacements have been created using the power of 2 though however they are not all identical sizes so that may be a factor.

As far as I know they aren't using different lightmap scales as I haven't changed these settings so it will be the default which I think im right in saying is 16.............as I don't have Hammer in front of me at the moment

It's ok i've managed to solve it but just incase anyone else gets the same thing here's how I fixed it.

I destroyed the displacements and created them again using the same power (2). I then selected all the displacemenst and inverted the alpha and then used the paint alpha and hey presto it was fixed :D
