I wanted to try and make a driveable-blowable tank. From what I gather you would need to make a group of brushes into a tank and tie em all to an func_train. Then place a bomb target on it. Is something like this possible? I wanted to have the tank roll down a couple blocks of city. I havent found any step by step tutorials... any help would be greatly appreciated :D

I either stumped everyone... or this is too complicated to explain without putting hours and hours into a tutorial

I'll let you guys know when I figure out how to do it

When you say "drivable", do you really want the players to be able to pilot the vehicle? If so, here's a tutorial: http://www.interlopers.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=17640 . It's for CS:S, but the entity-work is the same. Keep in mind, however, that player-controlled vehicles in CS:S and DoD:S feel very awkward. Also, incorrect setup can lead to instant crashes of the game.

If you wanted to make a vehicle into a 'train' that would be a LOT easier. and a lot easier to bomb too.

wow, nice tut find. I couldnt seem to find that one... now its in my favorites THANK YOU!

Ya I wanted to basicly make a tank shaped train. That follows a path. players can "drive" it by hitting the +use key and going foward or backwards like in HL1. Only this one will have a bomb target on the back

I reckon if you get a vehicle working you should use pedroleum's truck
