[REL] dod_flak88_b

A friend asked me if i could build a map based on the movie Band of Brothers.
He wanted the scenario in which they storm the trenches and blow up the 108īs.
Not having a 108 model i used Ransonīs flak 88 models instead.
The Axis are defending and the Allies have to blow up the guns.

Can you make sure the spawn protection for the Axis is a little better, so the Allied cannot get so close to the 3 Axis exit holes. Thanks.

I can make that. But where would you put the invisible wall?
It should be still possible for the allies to sneak around the snipers in the bunkers and use their knifes.

Just a thought and it is not so easy as I believe it might be; but currently the Allied can watch all 3 Axis exits very easily. The Axis have no chance of leaving the 'hole' then, or make another exit for the axis off set from the other ones. Cheers.

This map could be an enjoyable playing map, but as another point...the Allied only have 1 spawn exit. They cannot even throw smoke or a grenade over the hedge to defend their spawn.
Once the Axis have the Allied pushed to their spawn the game is then a no-brainer and the Allied leave...empty server, map not shown on server again. Cheers.

What i cant understand is that this spawnproblem did not happen when i tested it with friends

The problem is on a public server people tend not to respect the spawnzones or server rules.

A crowd will tend to camp and hold the area around the enemy spawn flag rather than capture the round.

Anyway.
It would be nice if you make suggestions how to change the spawns (paints edited screens would be great).
I would really appreciate that kind of help.

I suggest to make the map a little bigger, not too big, but just farther away from the axis spawn, and spawn protection. Nice map, reminds me of days of days in classic dod!!!

With the help of the OFAB Guys it is done now. I relase this version with the name dod_vimontier. I am doing this because the name flak88 was to similar to dod_flak.
Now the changes:
I reworked the whole layout and spawns.
To get more action in the map i added a dynamic spawnsystem. The Axis will respawn in the trenches. By destroying a flak the Respawnspoints in this area will be deaktivated and points in the axis bunker will be aktivated.
I also fixed a lot of small bugs and increased the fps rate a bit.
