Dod_Xmastown

Okay, first off. I got laid off last week and I have been scambling trying to find a new job so Xmastown is by no-means complete. I'd say it's around 85-90% so it is playable.

I had been having trouble getting the XMAS radio station and Club Kringle audio to work when triggered, so I am sad to say that those portions while in the map are not functioning. Some errors are in the displacements as well, but it's as good as it gets for this Xmas I'm sorry to say.

All in all, hope everyone still has fun with it.

Get it at this link; and if someone could host this for me that would be great.

Merry Xmas

WOW 121MB I'm going to throw it on the HOTT server just because its the holiday season but wow thats going to take people FOREVER to download, even with fast DL on the server. I'll comment on the map after I put it on the server and play it!!!

PS. Thanks for sharing your map work with everyone!!! :-)

I tried trimming alot of the fat off, but the majority of it was CS:S models that I carried over.

My clan's website is also hosting the file if you'd like to post a link to it instead to free up server bandwidth.

I know it isn't perfect, and if I could have worked on it more before the Holidays I would have liked to finish it off. So please be kind when you give it a playtest. I'll have a much better design when I re-release it for our Xmas in July party.

But heck, where else can the Axis blow up Kris Kringle with a demo pack other than dod_xmastown? lol

Thanks for playing

Keeps crashing our linux server. Client side runs fine, just not on server. Will try another upload and see what happens. Cheers.

Does the server give you any kind of error message for the crash?

Unfortunately no error at all in the logs. It starts to load dod_xmastown and then the server resets. Unfortunate really was hoping to have this on server for the special day...oh well. :(

Crap.

I'll try and see what I can do on finding the crash bug.

Haven't updated the screenshots in awhile, and my domain forwarding is messed up but you can see some older screenshots at

Congrats, good idea, but really don't work with my DoD S, december 2007 may be, if you have time!.
