Anybody know if anyones done any remakes of the good old MOHAA maps for DoD:S? Please post links if you know of any. Ive been itching to play mohaa so I re-installed it but I cant seem to find not 1 server thats still playing vanilla mohaa. All of them have mini mods running. I was playing a game for 25 minutes thinking its team deathmatch and then all of a sudden I see a Panzer Tank Commander running up the staircase with a toilet stuck on his head. WTF! lol it was capture and hold the toilet bowl mini mod. :p

If anyone knows of any good remakes pleaaaase post some links. I might even make one or two myself. I just loved the way those maps looked/played.

Remagen FTW!

Also try the expansion Spearhead - much more tolerable vanilla, and few servers (downunder at least) run mods.

Also I did manage to port the maps (or more importantly find a suitable method of porting them) but they require too much effort when ideally someone should start 'em from scratch (a few scaling issues too).

Interesting fact - battlebridge actually started as a port of crossroads from mohaa, but so much got added in the end there is about one house left from the original

Oh man, I loved Obj_1 : The Hunt

I can still remember hiding in the bombed out house just outside the allied spawn in the room with a bath tub in it and leaning out with the Garand and sniping the Axis all day long.

I was thinking of doing a map based off the Hunt since it was always my favourite objective map, and probably the most popular in the game. I've got other maps to finish first though, so I might never get round to it.
Most of them wouldn't work well in dods though - the DM maps were just circles and the objective ones never had the layout or routes to suit CTF/detonation style gameplay.

The most played maps we have on our server are funnily enough stock maps.

Probably the three most played stocks are The Hunt, The Bridge and V2 Rocket Facility, all obj maps.

The most played customs are St. Lo. and Renan I'd say.

I found a way aaages ago to import those maps into HL2/Hammer, but I later realised it would be far more professional if it was made from scratch; mainly because of scaling issues, aswell as getting a "too many vertices" error.

But if anyone's interested let me know.
