Nems Batch Compiler doesnt give me the option to compile with DOD:S. Anyone have a working Batch Compiler that works for DoD:S? Link Me please.

You probably haven't set it up right, there's a tut on Nem's page to get it right. It works just fine once you specify the root folder of any mod you want it to work with...

SOrry for the late necro. But I was compiling with hammer because I couldnt find the answer, but now I am getting sick of Hammer compile now. It keeps freezing on me. So, I set my batch compiler up just like the tutorial tells me to and it still wont give me the option of DoD:S. It gives me everything BUT dod:s

I set it up right but on the drop down it doesnt give me the option for DoD:S

I don't use the automatic running of the map once compiled, so my own is left unchecked.

I'm confused by this compiler also. I just went back to the valve one. I miss the one I used in 1.3 called HLCC.

Ok, well, can i still compile using my set up but run the game seperately and it will work with DoD:S right?

yes you can, I do that almost every day, if not several times a day.

TheMiede:

Run a Check For Updates from the Help menu to get the latest specifications, then reselect the specification from the Specifications menu (to reload it). This should give you Day of Defeat: Source in your Game list (though it should be noted that you can still compile without it).

Post your log?

For anyone else having problems, there is a complete tutorial here (http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?c=141#p141) .

I admit the setup for Batch Compiler is a bit of a hassle, but once you get that out of the way, the rest shouldn't be so bad.

I updated multiple times, and i still not getting the DoD:S in my game list. Also, when I compiled my map with your Tools, all my displacements had black lines on the edge of them. It was quite odd, never seen it before.

Anyways, I still think its great that you made a Batch Compiler, and a bunch of other tools that I use for us modders. Thanks a lot.

Did the update complete? There are a few DNS problems with the server right now, so if you don't see a large amount of text flying past your screen, the update did not complete. If all else fails you can manually download the updated Steam.bci file from here (http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/updates/batch%20compiler/specifications/) and overwrite the one in your Specifications folder (or even edit the file with Notepad and add DOD: Source yourself).

As for the black lines, the results you get from compiling with Batch Compiler should be identical to those you get from compiling within Hammer as long as you use the same settings because both front ends run the same set of tools.
