ok been playing about with tanks and i have a work in progress example of a tank assault map:

axis start with 2 working tanks on left and right flank. by standing near them they move out towards a trench and barbed wire fence.
the tanks will stop and fire at hard points (sandbags and bunkers), only if they are in use. otherwise they will break through the wire and advance to the back of the base as cover for the axis advance.
if the left flank tank reaches the barbed wire, a 3rd tank in spawn activated. this tank is used only for covering fire. it advances to high ground and then will fire onto any enemy in the trench system.

all tanks can be killed with 4 rockets in the tracks.

Looks like an entertaining idea, if implimented into a decent map.

i'd also recommend messing with various tank speeds (between 2 tracks in corners) to make the tank turn more realisticly etc :)

looks cool. I messed around with tanks a bit this past spring, got frustrated by the limitations of set tracks, though.

what soundpack is that, btw?

That movie is a little confussing it jumps around a lot
But that looks like a really good idea, it's working really well. I haven't looked into it, but is it possible to have a tank with AI? that way it would sorta slip around the ground better and smoother etc. The paths would take forever to set up so that it all flows nicely

I'd like to see one of those ride over the trench I'm crouching in.
