Another small project of mine, dod_sopot is a miniature version of a beach map.
This is a miniature version to testplay a new gameplay twist in the Beachmap type map.
It features two flags (yup, only 2) which each require 2 people to capture.
There is also a small underground tunnel and nifty defense walls on the beach to protect the Allies when they spawn.

The map also contains a classic sniping tower for those who dare, and also a very rocky formation that includes many hiding spots for shooting and hiding. After a few games, this map proved that EACH class has a chance! Rocket Launchers and Snipers obviously found their spots behind the rocks on the beaches, and machine guns and Support found their spots in the underground parts of the map, as well as the close-ranged parts such as both underground entrances and the Castle's Dungeon.

The map was made to test a different gameplay style for beachmaps that I'm trying to implement on a bigger version, where underground access and defense mobile walls will be used to balance out the sniping fest and camping found on many other maps. Sopot Beach is a real beach near Gdansk, Poland, but I only used the name as a semi-historical reference as nothing very important happened there ;)

The map is VERY small, it's only 3 megs unzipped. You can download it zipped, it's only 1.7 megs. It's also contains 48 spawn points and is 100% safe for 32 slot servers. Some players might get upset at the beginning, especially if they ignore the underground tunnel which adds a whole new level of gameplay, so give or take a few rounds for players to get used to it. After the first test, many players actually extended the map's gametime.

Heck I'm sold. I give it a try. I starting to like the small file maps now. Since having a 32 man server it's the only way to get people to play on custom maps latly it seems.

ok small problem. I had 30 people in the server. When you spawn sometimes two people spawn in same spot and both can not move, till one dies or you go prone and move.
