I came across this program a few months ago and I thought it was pretty good. Its free so I guess its really good actually. The examples and tutorials on their site dont do it justice. If you use high res base images you will get a high res texture when your done. I dont recommend making textures the way they show in the tutorial (cropping parts from photos) but instead make the base images yourself.

Heres a screenshot of a texture I made with it from scratch. I havent done any editing on this texture outside of the program itself except to make the normal map. So you could imagine it would look a lot better with a little grunge editing afterwards. I also used this program to create the skin for the window model in this screenshot. The brick parts atleast.

Give it a shot. Its well worth the D/L.

I don't really like those bricks, IMO, they don't look good for a game like DoD. They're more in the UT style :PARROT:

It doesnt have any detail or grit added to it, its just a basic brick texture. It can do random patterns also and tiles for floors/ceilings, wood textures too. It does it all seamless. Im gonna try to make some roof shingles with it but it takes awhile to find the right settings.

i love the texture, and the fact that it looks that good without being "gritified" is pretty sweet too.

I d/l the app, and will check it out for myslef.

Thanks for the heads up!

Photoshop is all I need really, I've tried other generating software but it is hard to get the right effect..
