Is there a way to increase and decrease the level of bloom?

and can you adjust it so there is more off the "fuzzy light" effect without being overbright?

Try looking under
"mat_hdr"
in the console and fool around there. I don't know if you need commands for just Blooming, or for Full HDR, as I don't know if the HDR commands I use to control the blooming effects work on just straight up blooming.

:D I know under HDR settings there is "overbrightrange" i think that controls how high the HDR levels go, but it seems it can't be controlled as the levels are always dynamically changing. But if it's straight blooming your after I wasn't sure if those would work. Etc etc but glad to see you got what your after Im assuming.

no matter how much i change the values the bloom looks the same to me :S

is it just me or did they water down the bloom effect since the big update?

i can hardly tell the difference when bloom is on or off, but before the update i remember it was very bright

I do remember when I first fooled around with Bloom, no Bloom, and HDR, Bloom seemed bright, and recently as I did some tests, Bloom seemed dimmer (i.e. couldnt really tell between No Bloom and Bloom) but for me the easiest way to tell is just find a white wall to stare at. Then again, as I said it may be that just straight Blooming may not be controllabe as opposed to HDR...which you really cant control the rates either... (it gets dynamically overwritten as "HDR" takes place)
