I use a config to get better fps however in my config bumpmaps are turned off making the player skins shiney, i was wondering if anyone knows of a way to keep the phong lighting on say the helmet and straps etc while turning the effect off the rest of the body?

is there a way to have bumpmaps turned off and have correct phong lighting on the players?

are there skins out or is it possible to make a phong map? so it only goes on the helmet?

so i can keep my nice big fps increase from having bumpmaps off

atm i am running the game in dx8 because of the shineyness issue

thanks :)

Are you sure the shininess isn't coming from custom skins?

If you're using custom skins and they're shiny, remove the vmt files.
