Brushwork is fuxored when save-file is opened

I fiddle around in Hammer and I save my work.

Then I open the save-file later and it looks like this:

If I fix the mess and re-save it, it'll still be messed up when I open the save-file.

Any comments are appreciated, and if this has already been covered in a previous thread I do apologise.

Might be something to do with this:

Make sure those displacements are made on valid brushes.
3 points make a plane, displacements need to be made with 4 corners. If those 4 points aren't all on the same plane (easily messed up when vertex editing) then this will happen. The engine can't save the invalid brush, "fixes" it and voila. That's the sort of thing you get.

Doesn't Hammer simply disallow you to make a displacement/destroys it if it's an invalid displacement brush? So I don't think that would be the problem.

(Totally kidding. I know Streamline, outside of this forum. I really am just kidding, no offense intended in the slightest.)
