does anyone know if the 'failure to build cubemap' bug affects Nvidia guys, too? I'm looking to release a version of highlander (even if only for a playtest) and the cubes are one of the only things holding me up

Jake, you certainly don't need to build the cubemaps for a 1 hour playtest session. Especially on Highlander that really doesn't have that many reflective textures.

riiiiight, but if its something as simple as sending my bsp over to someone to get the cubes built, perhaps it'd be worth finding out if the non-ati guys are having any luck w/ cubemaps?

Ah yeah, that'd be worth it, except I don't think the cubes are a ATI specific problem. The screwed up model viewer is, but the cubes aren't IIRC
