Just don't have the time anymore.

Hi guys.

Just posting to say that I quite simple don't have the time for DoD and DoD:S mapping any more. RL and other gaming commitments with our community mean that I can't dedicate enough time to mapping for a mod we don't play enough of. Saying that we will be trying to keep the games going in our own community by starting a 3v3 at some point. So it's not like we deserting the mod's completely.

It's become quite apparent to me that since DoD:S has been released that I'm never going to complete a map for it.

So with this comment I relinquish the right to any maps I've made and any conversions that anyone wants to make. Nothing big in the statement it's just something I need to say for myself.

The website will remain as it is as the mapping stuff doesn't take up that much space or cost that much to host.

/me goes back to fitting the new washing machine :kitty:

I'll still help as much as I can.

MrGrubby, I'm going through all my old DoD:Gold maps and, in time, I'll release the rmf files.

As for DoD:S, as I've said, I've done very little in this respect so I don't really have anything to release.

The next big thing will be a tutorial for the new objective stuff due in the next DoD:S release, I like making Tutorials :yar:

Depends on how well made the maps are ;)

it sucks to lose a mapper for dod source. it seems we are some what limited. sure lots of maps get put out, but not many are made by people with experience who can really make an effective map. ive played some of your smaller DOD maps, and they are usually a hit.
also, haircut, i tossed ya a PM :)

Thats a real shame Haircut, I rated your maps highly (dod 1.3).
I was looking forward to dod_sampol for source :(

Anyway being a fellow admin running a dod community too, I know how much hard work it takes, without the time consuming process that mapping can be.

Everybody in the dod scene I know will miss your maps, but maybe one day you will come back and surprise us all with a great source map ;)

I may not be posting anymore but I still read the forums. It will be a shame to see you go (from the mapping scene anyway), looking forwrds to the Tut's though. Mabe I'll post a map for all times sake oneday.

Anyway, see you around and Good Luck for the future (and installing that washing machine ;) )
