Hi ADMINS,

I've released my latest map dod_swamp_b1. As the name implies the map is set in a swamp filled by the misty morning fog. It contains 5 flags and is well balanced and a blast to play. But don't take my word for it ...see for yourself. The file and screen shots can be found on filefront at the following link. See you on the battlefield..

that actually looks like it could be interesting, but the foliage is bad :-/ i think that was a skybox texture used

included in map pack #34 on our website

very nice map - good for a big server

It reminds me of a cross between DOD 1.X dod_sumpf (http://www.sunlitgames.net/mappics/dod_sumpf.jpg) and HL2DM dm_swamp (http://www.sunlitgames.net/mappics/dm_swamp.jpg). FPS was pretty good on a walk through. Minimap was included. The trees along the map perimeter are "ghostly", however, this effect doesnt feel intentional or natural.
Running it on SunLit Futurama today.
I've linked your thread at our site and hopefully you will get some feedback. :)

Edit: fps dropped 40 points with 24 players on deck

is there anyway to stop people going prone then moving though the water? at the moment once people realise they can do this - most people see to sproat gills.

Or is there anyway to increase the water friction so that you go slower through the water?

Just ideas.....

I noticed that some of the ghost trees will become superimposed on top of closer objects. you can see that for example when the tress overshadow the bush as you leave the allied spawn on the left. I will post one of my screens, but can't at the moment.

nice ambience & not bad , needs an overview though, most new players found it very confusing

This occurs when either the "stuff" in the skybox is superimposed inside the map rather than on the outside or over the top...or the model tree line used is placed incorrectly in the map....I'll d/l and check.

I just played it and added it to my server... It's become my favorite map... especially with pushscale turned up so that bodies fly... makes for some entertaining gameplay! I love it!

I played it yesterday for hours as well. I love the ambient sounds and the fog over the swamp. Great job with it. Just one thing I noticed is that you can't kill somebody who is prone underwater. You can't even knife him.

I was hitting tons of prone underwaterers... just shoot into the water.
