how can i "weld" multiple brushes together? everytime i create an arch, it subdivies and i have to click each little face individually... so i wanna "weld" the faces together so i only have to click one and select them all.

i think its the merge option. its under the cut copy paste options.

Interesting, a merge function? that's new to me..

But if there is a function that does 'merge' the brushes it wouldn't work on a arch since it would crate a concave; a thing which Hammer cannot handle.

Instead simply select all the brushes by ctrl+clicking them one by one in any of the 2D windows, or more easily; the 3D window and then pressing ctrl+G which groups them.

If they do not appear to group then "Ignore-group" might be turned on (even if the button does not appear to be 'on' - a bug) Press the iG button on the top bar so that it is not pressed in.

Don't merge vertices when creating an arch: it's going to cause brush errors.

Simply select all the pieces of the arch and GROUP them. (CTRL+G, as said above)

I think he meant to say "group" instead of "merge".
