Springfield reskin

Folks are either gonna love this or hate it. Either way, this is what I use ;)

Sprinfield reskin using [SLHR]Gen.Forral's (or just Forral) wooden stock skin. In very dark places is supposed to simulate a heavily varnished stock. Went with a blued, refinished/rebuilt look since most 1903 springfields had been in service for decades before WW2. Added prism effect to lens.

Sorry, no hi-res, I am literally posting skins out of my folders that I am using and I guess I never made a hi-res version of this. (I've been using it for awhile)

Screenshots will nevr explain this skin, here is a movie

Nice..very nice, but I have to ask, are you gonna do a high-res version?

EDIT: Low-Res is 1024x1024 right, that's the default size?

Very nice, been waiting on a good v and w model Springfield to surface, and lo-and-behold Wile whips it out. I really am digging the varnishing shiny effect you've tried out on the Carbine and now the Springfield, definately different and not something we're use to seeing, but it does make sense. My Czech 75's grips are wooden that I sanded down to my own tastes, and as such has no finish on it besides some darkening of the wood. It soaks up my sweat from my hands pretty good, which on a rifle wouldn't be a good thing...so it's all good.

TL;DR: Good work as usual, loving the varnished effects, keep on truckin. :D

Nice skin! What I've noticed is you're sticking to the American weapons. Any chance of dabbling on the German side? An STG44 perhaps? Or a K98?

No, not going to be doing a hi-res, [SLHR]Gen has an excellent hi-res version of the Springfield. I haven't had much time to skin lately, I've just been postig files that I personally use. In most cases I still have the PSD I made them with, but not always. In this case I'd have to re-create the entire skin, something I do not have time for.

For the MP44 I use Rascal's reskin; for the MP40 I use the default skin

1024x1024 is default
