Hi Womb,

Good job, nice map!!!

Can you confirm you have enabled 32 spawn points, 16 on each side of axis and allies.

Thanks again...

Kurt

I thought convoy was ultranew_b's map?

This map always packs 'em in.

Well, name conflict in the scene. Not sure if I will package it for now. I will wait and see how this is resolve first. Maybe Ultranewb will accept to name it something else. But if you map is already installed on server and download section, it will become a endless bsp does not match server festival.

Basically we have a thread running where everyone reserve name so we don't end up with two map name conflicting.

I will wait to see Utranewb reply.

Glad to see the issue resolved :) I will be packaging the map both on 907th and dod-federation map section.

I played the map once on a public server and had a lot of fun on it. Fun battle on the bridge. Nice map, Womb!

Hey, this is a message to the creator of dod_convoy,

I played your map on a custom-maps server on the weekend and I was surprised at how much fun it was to play (dod_convoy). But the one thing that really impressed me, as a mapper, was the lighting and fog settings. I didn't realize the possibilities of a "winter"-type DoD:S map until I played yours and now I am really inspired by it, and have begun a winter map based on the book Der Meisterschütze by Stephen Hunter (and it will share the same name). If the creator of dod_convoy by any chance still hangs around here, I would be thrilled if you'd give me the details of the lighting and fog settings you'd used on the map.

Now, just to be clear, I am not going to be copying your map in any way. I only want it to have a similar feel, and I will be tweaking slightly the settings to fit in with the map. I just always seem to have a problem getting how the lighting looks in my head, to be how it looks in-game. I'm sure you understand!

Regards,
Chris

I played the map a few weeks ago. I thought it was an interesting take.

Visually i think my only real complaint would be the water. Whatever texture you are using is way to repetative. It could use a texture that does not repeat so much (it just looks to fake right now).

Gameplay wise... I dont know. I found the map extremely hard to cap for either side. It was a little too intense for me. I felt like I was dying way too often. I dunno. I'll have to play it some more.

When i saw it first i thought "thats a crap on a 32 slot server with 2 snipers and 2 mg's" but then we played and you have so good possibilities to hide, that the snipers and mg's are not realy so strong - they are more easy standing targets and everyone on the server had realy much fun.

It was running yesterday several times and the players voted it again and again and again ;)

Many thanks for this great fun map :)
