Another custom Team menu.

I have already customized the standard teamselect menu (http://www.dodbits.com/tutorials/Commandmenu/Team_menu_addon.html) and I am working on one with less background (http://www.dodbits.com/tutorials/Commandmenu/New_teammenu.jpg) and some graphical buttons.

EDIT: 12 MAY... OK... time for some brave person to try it, any takers?

I have not tested it on all HUD types yet but it seems ok.

It's layout doesn't look "neat" because it's made to not overlay over most hud elements.

PIC of the first version (http://www.dodbits.com/tutorials/Commandmenu/basic4.JPG)

DOWNLOAD (http://www.dodbits.com/tutorials/Commandmenu/INsanes_Menu_ver1.zip)

The download also includes a seperate fix for the mani panel I mentioned before.

As with all my stuff, use it as a template and release your own version :)

Can you do a version of this to go with your v5 hud? :)

It will not matter what hud you have, the Teamselect screen is independent of the HUD files. Like most of the hud stuff.

But if you mean a, "theme based on a style of hud"... then yes, I can do that :)

Still not sure what to place in the menus, it's easy for me to make the damn thing... but I struggle with what buttons/functions to place in there.

Sections like...
Join team, (must have)
Netcode.
Netgraph.
Custom says/web/email "spams"
Audio, mic, volume, mp3.
Demo and Movie commands/scripts
Special, sniper zoom sensitivity, how long the chat text displays. I even tried to get the player list to come up with one click... but no go yet.

If someone does have a thought on what commands are handy to have as a, "one key, one click solution as opposed to a bind or console visit" ... post them :)

Obviously the commands can trigger a complex script from a userconfig.cfg too.

A pic done in paint of where the sections/buttons should be placed would help too.

I suppose making a few different ones is the way to go.

Yeah the same theme as v5

I'm not good at placement, I wouldn't know where to start.

No problem with the theme. Might be a while making it ... I love to take my time, If I rush it I don't enjoy it.

I do this stuff to relax when home. Looking after 20 staff then family... my PC is a better than massage :)

Low maintinance and fun to be around, what more can you ask for.

Still adding stuff, the right hand side now has controls for "anti spam" to cut down voice volume (not tested yet) and chat text display time.

Pic Ver 6 (http://www.dodbits.com/tutorials/Commandmenu/unfinished/basic3.JPG)

Also three controls with four settings each that control the Kills / deaths area...

The time the kills / deaths display, Off through to default, (6 seconds).

The Alpha transparency of the kills/deaths background, Off through to dark.

The size of the weapon icon, Off through to default size.

They help control the amount splashed over the screen.

I think I may include some of the minimap stuff mentioned in PanFrie's thread. (http://www.dayofdefeat.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=64796) Also looking at some mani stuff too.

BTW....found a fix for the mani panel (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=432751) while I was poking around as well :D
