I just played cs_noir and i wondered if dod source maps can be made all black and white, or another colour to make it look faded and washed out (including the player models)

Sounds like a mini mod which applies filters to the engine

I've adjusted the settings in control panel for my gfx card to try and emulate the look of bleach bypass and other film techniques before playing dod source to give it a grittier look.

Might be worth you looking into that and save the settings as a preset which you can choose just before playing the game and reset to default afterwards.

I've never thought of playing it in black and white, I'll look into that later.

edit.

heres the page i used as a reference for ideas.

Most likely can be done...

Here is a thread (http://www.hl2world.com/bbs/how-to-turn-the-screen-black-and-white-vt36810.html?highlight=overlay) on how to do it for C:SS. I'm sure this could be applied to DoD:S as well.

I visited the link you posted but it all sounds gibberish to me. I don't understand at all how it's supposed to work, can someone please post a comprehensive yet simple "how to"? Thank you.
